Who these terms are for

By creating an account or using DuelX you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to enter a challenge or to receive a prize.

What DuelX is

DuelX is a marketplace where brands publish challenges with a brief, rules and a prize pool, and creators enter by submitting a link to original content they posted on an approved platform.

DuelX organizes the challenge, records entries, metrics and decisions, and publishes results. DuelX is not the sponsor of a challenge and does not judge it, unless a challenge says so.

Prizes and payment

The sponsor of each challenge is responsible for paying its winners directly. DuelX does not hold, transfer or process prize money. DuelX only records the payment steps: instructions issued, sponsor marked paid, and winner confirmed.

Entering a challenge does not guarantee a prize. Rankings and scores shown before winners are confirmed are provisional and can change. You are responsible for any taxes on prizes you receive.

Your content and rights

You keep ownership of what you make. You confirm that your entry is your own original work and that you have the right to submit it.

Each challenge states what the sponsor may do with entries, for example reposting with credit for a set time. By entering, you agree to that challenge rule. DuelX stores links and small amounts of metadata, not your videos.

You must clearly disclose your relationship with the sponsor when the challenge requires it, for example with #ad or the platform paid partnership label.

Rules of conduct

Follow the rules for each challenge and the Rules and safety page. Do not submit reposted or stolen content, buy fake engagement, harass others, share other people’s personal data, or break the law or a platform’s policies.

Moderators can approve, reject or remove entries, and suspend accounts that break the rules. Decisions are recorded with a reason. You can open a dispute during the dispute window shown on the challenge.

Screenshots and metrics

Creators may be asked for, or may choose to add, screenshots of their own account analytics so that a sponsor or moderator can check reported numbers. Only upload real, unedited screenshots of your own account. Faking or editing a screenshot is grounds for disqualification.

Screenshots are private. Only you, the sponsor of that challenge and DuelX moderators and administrators can see them.

Sponsors

Sponsors confirm that they have the authority to run their challenge, that the prize pool is real and funded, and that they will pay confirmed winners directly by the deadline in the challenge rules.

Challenge rules are locked once a campaign is published. A sponsor who does not pay confirmed winners may be removed from DuelX.

Service and liability

DuelX is provided as is during the pilot. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and we do not guarantee reach, sales or income.

To the extent the law allows, DuelX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what sponsors, creators or other users do or fail to do.

Ending your account

You can deactivate your account at any time from the Account page. Your name, handle and bio are removed. Entries and decisions are kept in anonymized form so contest results and records stay accurate.

We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When something material changes we will say so in the app before it applies, and continuing to use DuelX after that means you accept the change.

DuelX is currently run as a small pilot by an individual, not by a registered company. These terms are written for that stage and will be updated if that changes.
